SS4 check for update failed

I have upgraded to SS4.
When SS4 starts it asks for check for update. I click Ok and I got an error message:
"Unable to build data connection: connection timed out".
Could you please help me?

did you try to deactivate your firewall or add an exception in your firewall to accept that Studio-Scrap could access to the web ?

I am back again.
This time, I have installed SS4 on a Mac running a Windows virtual machine.
I have disabled the firewall, but I stil am unable to connect to server, to download 4.1.1 update.
What shall I do?
